We are looking for a Field Services Manager to join our growing team to support our Greenville and Lexington, SC markets.

About the role


Key responsibilities of the Field Services Manager include managing the team, handling escalated customer issues, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, managing resources, and analyzing operations for process improvement. This role is crucial in our organization to ensure we are delivering efficient, reliable, and high-quality fiber internet service to all customers.


Responsibilities: 

 

  • Develop and implement procedures and best practices for the operation and maintenance of telecommunications systems to ensure reliability and optimal performance.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to identify and resolve problems promptly, minimizing downtime and ensuring uninterrupted communication services.
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to understand their telecommunications requirements and develop solutions that meet their needs.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and standards related to telecommunications systems and recommend appropriate upgrades or enhancements to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Manage vendor relationships
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments of the telecommunications infrastructure to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes accordingly.
  • Maintain documentation and records of telecommunications systems, including network diagrams, equipment inventory, and maintenance logs.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to telecommunications
  • Lead and manage a small team of telecommunications technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure they perform their duties effectively.
  • Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of telecommunication systems, including voice, data, and video networks.

 

Qualifications: 


  • Proven experience in managing and maintaining telecommunication systems, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • In-depth knowledge of telecommunications infrastructure, networking protocols, and industry standards.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and record-keeping.
