Essential Responsibilities

1. Billing and payment of approved goods and services on behalf of the participant.

2. Fiscal accounting and reporting.

3. Ensure Medicaid and corporate compliance.

4. General administrative supports.

5. Verify staff employment eligibility.

6. Help the participant manage staff.

7. Participate in annual and/or semi-annual Life Plan meetings to discuss issues related to self-directed staffing and/or supports and budget expenditures, as required or as requested.

8. Participate in Circle of Support/Care Planning Team meetings as a budget resource, as needed or as requested.

9. Incident Management - reporting/investigating related to self-hired staff, as required and in coordination with incident management team.

10. Provide training to the participant on his/her employer responsibilities.

11. Work cooperatively with independent and agency brokers.

12. Provide educational and training support to participants, families, brokers, staff, and interested parties.

Requirements:
  • At least 1 year of experience working in Self-Direction programs as Fiscal Intermediary or Broker
  • Experience with Self-Direction EHR (electronic health records) preferred
  • Excellent written and interpersonal skills
  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Valid NYS Driver's License
