Position Overview

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, computer science, or a related discipline
  • At least one year of professional experience in an office environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of hands-on experience in account reconciliations, financial analysis, and operational/capital budget preparation and review
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis

Work Modality

This role operates under a hybrid work schedule.

Key Responsibilities

The primary duties of the Financial Planning Analyst encompass, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborating with the team to coordinate and prepare the annual operating budget, business initiatives, and performance metrics plan.
  • Gathering information on prior expenditures, projected funding/resource needs, and budget priorities.
  • Engaging with departments to identify necessary resources to meet their service and operational requirements.
  • Preparing materials for budget presentations.
  • Analyzing Expense Fund expenditures and assisting in financial projections and year-end analysis of actual expenditures.
  • Monitoring budgetary activity, actual spending, and reporting results against the operating budget/plan.
  • Developing models or projections by examining past results and data to anticipate future trends.
  • Assisting departments with workforce planning by preparing position plans and organizational charts.
Additional Responsibilities

Reviewing Administrative Fund contracts for budgetary compliance and impact.

Collaborating across the organization, including with Finance, Human Resources, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and Information Technology on various projects as needed.

Salary Grade

This position is classified as Grade 15.

Salary Range

$62,848 to $82,001
