About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our Home Health team at CenterWell. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer physical therapy treatment plans developed by Physical Therapists, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of care.
  • Provide non-complex active and passive manual therapeutic exercises, modalities, and other interventions to patients, promoting optimal recovery and rehabilitation.
  • Accurately document patient records, submitting clinical paperwork to the office in a timely manner.
  • Attend educational meetings and contribute to department in-services, staying up-to-date on best practices and industry developments.
  • Notify Physical Therapists or Executive Directors of equipment failures, supply shortages, staff changes, and other departmental concerns.
  • Schedule clients and perform various office tasks, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Apply concepts of infection control and universal precautions in patient care activities, prioritizing patient safety.
  • Accept clinical assignments consistent with education and competence, promoting patient-centered care.
  • Promote compliance with fiscal intermediaries and third-party payors through education, coaching, and assistance.
Requirements
  • Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an American Physical Therapy Association-accredited program.
  • Current state license to practice Physical Therapy.
  • Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
  • Proof of current CPR certification.
  • Minimum two years of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of geriatric population changes, including physical, emotional, social, and biological aspects.
  • Self-directed, enthusiastic, and open to constructive feedback.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional image and attitude when interacting with patients, families, clients, coworkers, and others.
  • Maintain clinical competency in Physical Therapy practice and theory, meeting mandatory continuing education requirements.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel locally.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Maintain current licensure certifications and meet mandatory continuing education requirements.
  • Fluent English language skills, with ability to read, write, and speak effectively.
  • Good and regular attendance.
