Key Responsibilities
- Manage billing and payment processes for authorized goods and services on behalf of participants.
- Conduct fiscal accounting and prepare financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with Medicaid regulations and corporate policies.
- Provide general administrative support.
- Verify the employment eligibility of staff members.
- Assist participants in managing their staff.
- Engage in annual or semi-annual Life Plan meetings to address self-directed staffing and budgetary matters as needed.
- Contribute to Circle of Support/Care Planning Team meetings as a financial resource when required.
- Handle incident management related to self-hired staff, coordinating with the incident management team.
- Educate participants on their responsibilities as employers.
- Collaborate effectively with independent and agency brokers.
- Offer educational and training resources to participants, families, brokers, staff, and other interested parties.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Self-Direction programs as a Fiscal Intermediary or Broker.
- Preferred experience with Self-Direction EHR (electronic health records).
- Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Valid NYS Driver's License.
