Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage billing and payment processes for authorized goods and services on behalf of participants.
  2. Conduct fiscal accounting and prepare financial reports.
  3. Ensure compliance with Medicaid regulations and corporate policies.
  4. Provide general administrative support.
  5. Verify the employment eligibility of staff members.
  6. Assist participants in managing their staff.
  7. Engage in annual or semi-annual Life Plan meetings to address self-directed staffing and budgetary matters as needed.
  8. Contribute to Circle of Support/Care Planning Team meetings as a financial resource when required.
  9. Handle incident management related to self-hired staff, coordinating with the incident management team.
  10. Educate participants on their responsibilities as employers.
  11. Collaborate effectively with independent and agency brokers.
  12. Offer educational and training resources to participants, families, brokers, staff, and other interested parties.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Self-Direction programs as a Fiscal Intermediary or Broker.
  • Preferred experience with Self-Direction EHR (electronic health records).
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Valid NYS Driver's License.
