Located at 7142 E. 1st St., the hotel will have 177 rooms, a lobby inspired by modern southwestern culture, and a relaxed, open-concept restaurant and bar and integrates into the Old Town Arts District. Amenities also include a rooftop bar and pool deck with unmatched views of the neighborhood.

Lead Operations Enthusiast (aka Assistant General Manager)

What You'll Do


The Lead Operations Enthusiast is responsible for providing quality guest service within the guidelines specified by the hotel management. Oversees all Welcome (Front) Office and Tidiness (Housekeeping) operations and indirectly offers supervision for the entire hotel.

Here are some of the tasks you will complete on a daily basis:

  • Interview, hire, train, evaluate performance, resolve problems, provide open communication and recommend coaching/counseling when appropriate.
  • Set and maintain high level of guest service and respond to social media channels.
  • Provide working-support for the line staff.
  • Assist with scheduling for all areas of Housekeeping and Front Office operations.
  • Work closely with Lead Welcome Enthusiast and Lead Tidiness Enthusiast to ensure all company standards are met and company culture and programs are supported and encouraged.
  • Ensure proper training of all employees working in the Welcome and Tidiness areas.
  • Indirectly responsible for overseeing the other hotel departments, such as, Security, Engineering, etc.
  • Actively engage in any guest service recovery efforts.
  • Ensure expenses are monitored and kept within budgeted guidelines. Forecasts spending appropriately.
  • Review "MOD" logs daily for significant incidents, and coordinate with department heads all enforcement of policy and/or improvements in service needed.
  • Work closely with the General Manager in establishing and monitoring policies and guidelines in the day-to-day operation of the hotel to ensure profitability and consistency.
  • Plan, organize, chair, attend and/or participate in various hotel meetings such as: staff meetings, rooms division meetings, executive committee meetings, quality team meetings, etc.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

  • Multiple years of progressive growth within the hotel Rooms Division (Front Office and Housekeeping).
  • Strong leadership qualities and the proven ability to build high-performing teams.
  • A willingness to pitch-in and help co-workers with their job duties -- be a team player.
  • A considerable amount of managerial skill as this position involves frequent decision making, meeting of deadlines, analytical ability, planning, scheduling, and financial acumen.
