Position Overview:

The Lead Aviation Operations Manager oversees all flight-related activities associated with one or more aircraft accounts. This role encompasses additional responsibilities related to crew management and operational oversight. Personnel involved in flight operations and maintenance for the respective accounts report directly to the Lead Aviation Operations Manager.

In operations governed by 14 CFR Part 135, crew members and maintenance staff adhere to the directives of the Director of Operations, Director of Maintenance, or Chief Pilot, as relevant, ensuring compliance with all organizational policies and procedures.

The Lead Aviation Operations Manager communicates with the System Chief Pilot regarding all matters concerning management contracts and personnel. For routine issues related to Flight Operations, Maintenance Operations, Administration, or Accounting, direct communication with the appropriate Jet Linx representative may be necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supervise assigned personnel to guarantee adherence to company policies, Federal Aviation Regulations, ICAO Rules of the Air, NTSB 830, and other relevant federal, state, and local regulations.

2. Monitor the professional appearance, dress standards, and conduct of all assigned personnel to uphold the highest quality standards.

3. Maintain an updated record of all Jet Linx memorandums and ensure accessibility for personnel, conducting periodic reviews of these records.

4. Coordinate, schedule, and assess the training of crew and maintenance personnel with the appropriate training contractors, advising the Director of Operations or Director of Maintenance as necessary.

5. Develop scheduling protocols with clients to enhance the reliability and efficiency of aircraft scheduling.

6. Approve and manage Personal Time Off (PTO) requests for all assigned personnel, maintaining accurate records of vacation days accrued and utilized.

7. Inform the flight scheduling department of all commercial travel arrangements.

8. Update the flight scheduling department regarding any changes to aircraft schedules and other pertinent information affecting crew and aircraft scheduling.

9. Conduct regular meetings with personnel to coordinate activities, address issues, disseminate information, and foster a positive work environment.

10. Approve expense reports for assigned personnel.

11. Collaborate with the relevant Company Officer in the recruitment process for all assigned personnel, with employment contingent upon approval.

12. Promptly notify the responsible Company Officer of any significant occurrences related to the operation, maintenance, or administration of assigned aircraft, or issues affecting customer relations or personnel.

13. Seek input and/or approval from Company Officers for all significant operational, personnel, and administrative matters.

14. Notify the appropriate Company Officer of anticipated pilot relief needs.

15. Submit written reports as required by the General Operations Manual.

16. Revise all manuals and publications assigned to the respective accounts, noting that crew members are responsible for updating manuals assigned directly to them.

17. Coordinate necessary training for crew members.

18. Ensure timely submission of training records, medical certifications, and other operational data to flight operations as mandated by the General Operations Manual.

19. Foster customer satisfaction through exceptional service and a professional demeanor.

20. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. Must possess the qualifications and certifications necessary to fulfill the supervisory role assigned within an account.

2. Strong interpersonal communication skills.

3. Ability to effectively engage with all levels of the organization.

4. Excellent attention to detail and organizational capabilities.

5. Ability to operate with minimal supervision.

6. Capacity to exercise independent judgment, discretion, and initiative.

7. Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills.

8. Proficient verbal and written communication skills.

9. Willingness to travel as required.

Education and Experience:

1. Must hold the necessary qualifications and certifications to serve as a pilot or Pilot in Command (PIC).

2. Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

3. A minimum of three (3) years of experience in aviation management.

Physical Requirements:

1. Must meet the physical demands of the assigned aviation role.

2. Majority of work is conducted in a standard office environment.

3. Ability to communicate through verbal, written, and electronic means.

4. Proficient in operating office equipment such as telephones, computers, printers, and fax machines.

5. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds on an infrequent basis.

6. Capability to access filing cabinets, drawers, and shelves of varying heights.
