Job Description

This position is equal parts brand strategist, media planner, operations/network management and data analyst—responsible for day-to-day stewardship of a home electronics company's paid media account. The Supervisor, Paid Strategy and Planning will report into the Associate Director on the Paid Strategy team. The ideal candidate for this position will be a team player who loves data, high attention to detail, and has the proven ability to manage strategic planning initiatives including but not limited to deck writing, budget tracking, channel allocations and audience development. This is an agile, energetic, collaborative team that partners with a data-driven client to provide guidance as they continue to grow and evolve their brand.

Role Objectives:

  • Work closely across a cross-functional team (strategy team members, activation & analytics) to develop media strategy recommendations for US campaigns that are backed with data and grounded in learnings – foundational knowledge in digital, social & programmatic is ideal.
  • Ability to assist and inform crafting of annual media strategies based on competitive marketplace, media trends, consumer journey, consumer insights, and client communication objectives
  • Able to manage multiple campaigns, clients, and cross functional teams (activation, analytics, creative, etc.) on a daily basis – overseeing the quality, accuracy, and timely delivery of projects
  • Assist AD and Supervisor by helping to oversee the on time and accurate delivery of weekly and monthly media deliverables, including but not limited to budget trackers, agency reconciliations, raising ATBs, updating MediaTools.
  • Ability to easily oversee the updating and accuracy of media plans and budget trackers specifically for TV, Audio and Memory products
  • Assist senior associates & team by developing strong working relationship with partner IAT agencies as well as multiple cross functional teams within PCG
  • Passion for learning and developing oneself and the team; continues to challenge the status quo and offers proactive recommendations, solutions, thoughts, etc.
Qualifications

  • Leadership and Management: Ability to take ownership and motivate others through personal actions and work product; has a natural passion for learning via direct feedback, training, and coaching and desire to always improve. While the role is more junior experience-based, a strong Sr. Associate will be able to effortlessly work across multiple departments at multiple experience levels.
  • Strategic & Analytical Thinking: Understands and actions upon client’s business objectives and chosen strategies and is capable of creating plans/tactics to move the business forward. Able to develop insightful post campaign learnings and data-based recommendations with clear understanding of the consumer journey
  • Communication: Marked by understanding and presenting ideas (verbal and written) in an accurate and organized way. Ability to translate tricky conceptual ideas into digestible and succinct communication (e.g. email, Excel, Powerpoint).  Keeps team members up to date on work and pending projects; confident in asking clarifying questions when deliverables and timelines are unclear
  • Teamwork & Flexibility: Proactively offering input and personal opinions but also supporting team decisions once made. Able to work flexible hours given client location and attend & participate on evening calls (e.g. bi-weekly status calls and/or ad hoc presentations based on deliverables).
  • Media Fundamentals: Demonstrate strong understanding of media fundamentals, including media math, target audience development, and communication goal setting

Compensation Range: $56 - $72/hr. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. This role may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met.
