Performing Art Instructor (SY-24-25 )


Looking for a part-time opportunity this SY-24-25 in Baltimore, MD?

Make a difference this summer at LTYC as a Summer Performing Art Instructor. Join us for in-school and after-school.

Compensation:

$30 - $35 hourly

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet educational standards and captivate students' interest
  • Create a safe and supportive learning environment focused on students' well-being and academic success
  • Utilize effective classroom management techniques to foster a positive and efficient learning atmosphere
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design a comprehensive and enriching educational experience for students
  • Maintain accurate student progress records and communicate effectively with parents and guardians about achievements and development
Qualifications:
  • Minimum requirement of 2 years experience in a relevant field is mandatory for this position in Baltimore, MD, US
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities are a must-have for effective interaction
  • Proficiency in GSuite is essential, and the capability to swiftly grasp new systems is required
  • Availability for weekends and evenings, as well as schedule flexibility, are necessary
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving history and access to a dependable personal vehicle are obligatory

Since its inception in 2004, LTYC has continuously expanded its programming, geographic outreach, and calendar, expanding stronger relationships among schools, students, families, and the community.

LTYC has been able to impact the lives of more than 160,000 students, ranging from grades K-12. Many of our students come from schools in Baltimore City and surrounding areas that are in dire need of arts education and behavioral intervention. Our arts education instruction includes dance, theater, music, visual arts, media arts, creative writing, STEAM, culinary arts, Yoga, martial arts, and gardening.
