We are seeking experienced Dance Instructors to join our team in school-based settings, Monday through Friday. As a Dance Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching students from Pre-Kindergarten to 12th grade, fostering their creativity, physical expression, and love for dance. The schedule varies based on school placement. This position requires excellent communication skills as well as creating a supportive and inclusive environment where students feel encouraged to explore and develop their dance abilities. Compensation:

$30 - $35 hourly

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and conduct dance classes that cater to students from Pre-K to 12th grade.
  • Teach a variety of dance styles, techniques, and choreographies appropriate for different age groups and skill levels.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive environment where students feel encouraged to explore and develop their dance abilities.
  • Coordinate with school staff to integrate dance lessons into the academic curriculum and school events.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other instructors and staff to organize performances, recitals, and showcases throughout the school year.
  • Maintain a safe and organized dance studio environment, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
Qualifications:
  • 3 Years of age-appropriate classroom teaching experience in applicable content areas.
  • Bachelor’s Degree/ Master's Degree in the content area preferred, MD Teaching.
  • Certification, or at least 30 completed college credits.
  • Proven experience as a Dance Instructor, preferably in educational or youth settings.
  • Strong knowledge of various dance forms such as ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip-hop, etc.
  • Ability to engage and inspire students across different age groups, from elementary to high school.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and school personnel.
  • Certification in dance instruction or related fields is a plus.
  • Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for teaching dance to young learners.
