Job Title: Human Resources - Specialist, HR Service I
Client: Health Care Industry
Duration: 3 Months
Location: Baltimore, MD 21224 (100% Remote (Mandatory: must reside in DC, Maryland, or Virginia))

Purpose:
Handle general associate inquiries about HR programs, procedures, and policies. Serve as the initial contact for HR inquiries (Tier 1 support) and assist functional teams to ensure timely and confidential handling of customer requests.

Essential Functions:

  • 25%: Respond to general inquiries from employees and manage resolutions.
  • 15%: Maintain information systems and process paperwork (e.g., severance, telework).
  • 15%: Update support documentation used by HR/Shared Services/Employees.
  • 15%: Review and share feedback on HR process improvements.
  • 15%: Maintain knowledge of company-specific policies and practices.
  • 15%: Act as a liaison with HR functional areas.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma
  • Experience: 3 years in related roles, including customer service, HR onboarding, or as an HR technician/analyst/generalist.
  • Preferred: 1-3 years of HR knowledge.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

  • Collaborative and independent work ability.
  • Proficient in multiple HR disciplines (compensation, benefits, employee relations, immigration, performance management, employment laws).
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Proficient with systems, data, and reporting.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must disclose any ineligibility to perform work on Federal health care programs.
  • Ability to handle multiple customer service demands and meet established deadlines.
  • Provide positive customer service to all internal and external customers.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Human Resources PHR or SHRM-CP (Preferred)
