Key Responsibilities

Human Resources Management

  • Provide comprehensive human resources support and advisory services to faculty, staff, and students, covering areas such as recruitment, risk management, diversity initiatives, and professional development.
  • Act as the primary contact for faculty and staff regarding HR policies and procedures, addressing concerns with information and guidance.

Employment Coordination

  • Facilitate the employment process by collaborating with faculty and administration to ensure compliance with university policies.
  • Advise on starting and promotional salary recommendations to maintain equity.
  • Serve as a liaison with Central HR for recruitment and compensation matters.
  • Manage visa processes for international hires and develop job descriptions for new roles.

HR Management

  • Provide counsel on HR policies related to recruitment, employment, and leave management.
  • Coordinate efforts related to Family Medical Leave (FMLA) with divisional leadership.
  • Participate in the development of divisional policies that align with university standards.

Employee Relations

  • Handle workplace complaints and provide guidance on disciplinary actions.
  • Conduct exit interviews and manage the transition process for departing employees.

Payroll and Compensation

  • Review and process payroll documentation for compliance with budgetary constraints.
  • Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing for all personnel.

Credentialing Responsibilities

  • Act as the Credentialing Coordinator for faculty and clinical staff, ensuring compliance with processing requirements.
  • Maintain databases to track credentialing processes and compliance training.

Financial Oversight

  • Assist with financial reporting related to faculty salaries and resolve salary discrepancies.

Training and Development

  • Train new staff on payroll processing and HR policies.
  • Identify training needs and coordinate programs to enhance staff development.

Internal Contacts

  • Collaborate with various university departments and external partners to ensure HR functions are effectively managed.

Supervisory Role

  • Oversee the activities of HR Coordinators within the department.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of three years of progressive experience in a professional HR capacity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with SAP HR transactions.
