What you'll do
- Research and develop strategies for business development and sales
- Carry out special projects and other tasks as required.
- Identify research and assess potential targets for JV's Alliances or Partnerships and prepare appropriate business case and recommendations.
- Ability to develop solutions and consult to sell. Strong commercial and business acumen.
- Deep understanding of business development and the interplay between contracts, operations and commercial outcomes.
- Have broad based development experience gained at a high level in area such as sales, services, outsourcing, consulting.
- Demonstrate a record of achievement in strategically identifying, developing and delivering business opportunities that provide superior outcomes for stakeholders.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Directly supervises product specialists/product managers.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent – MBA preferred; and 8-12 years in progressively more responsible positions either with long product steel producers OR having sold equipment directly to long product steel producers.
- Broad knowledge and experience in financial and fiscal project planning gained at successive levels of responsibility.
- Knowledge of corporate policies and compliance.
- Demonstrated prior success in achieving results using team driven philosophies.
- Demonstrated proficiency in supporting corporate interest from remote site locations and ability to communicate and exercise very positive people skills.
