The Role and Responsibilities

As an Inventory Coordinator, you are a key player in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our inventory management

processes. Your role is critical to maintaining optimal stock levels, reducing discrepancies, and ensuring that materials are

available for production when needed. By leveraging your organizational skills, attention to detail, and proactive approach,

you help maintain the smooth flow of materials and products throughout the supply chain, directly contributing to the

company's operational success.


Your Key Areas of Impact


Inventory Management and Accuracy: You are responsible for overseeing and managing the inventory system to ensure

accurate stock levels. This includes performing regular cycle counts, monitoring inventory transactions, and reconciling

discrepancies. Your meticulous attention to detail helps prevent stockouts, overstock situations, and inventory shrinkage,

ensuring that production and customer orders are fulfilled efficiently.


Data Management and Reporting: Utilizing inventory management software, you maintain accurate records of all inventory

movements. You generate and analyze reports to track inventory levels, identify trends, and provide insights that support

decision-making. Your ability to manage data effectively ensures that inventory information is reliable and up-to-date, enabling

the company to make informed operational decisions.


Material Handling and Coordination: You coordinate the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials within the warehouse,

ensuring that products are stored correctly and are easily accessible. Your role includes collaborating with the purchasing,

production, and shipping teams to ensure that materials are available when needed and that orders are processed and

delivered on time. Your efforts help maintain a seamless flow of materials, reducing delays and improving overall efficiency.


Continuous Improvement and Process Optimization: You actively seek opportunities to improve inventory management

processes, identify inefficiencies and implement solutions to streamline operations. Your proactive approach to continuous

improvement enhances the accuracy and efficiency of the inventory system, contributing to cost savings and increased

productivity.


Communication and Collaboration: You work closely with various departments, including purchasing, production, and

shipping, to ensure alignment on inventory needs and priorities. Your strong communication skills enable you to effectively

relay inventory status updates and address any issues that arise. By fostering collaboration across teams, you help ensure

that inventory management aligns with overall company goals.


Safety and Compliance: Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures, you ensure that inventory management activities

are conducted in a safe and compliant manner. Your commitment to safety not only protects you and your colleagues but

also ensures the integrity of the inventory and the broader warehouse environment.

Requirements:

Requirements

You’ve received your associate's degree from an accredited institution in supply chain management, logistics, or a related

field, and you’ve spent at least two (2) years in an inventory coordination or similar position with a focus on inventory

management. You may hold a certification from the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) or a similar

organization. You will work with a high level of integrity, confidentiality, organization, and time management. You are proficient

with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. You are also proficient in inventory

management technology, such as SAP or another specialized inventory tracking software.


The Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Travel

Your work is conducted primarily in a dynamic manufacturing setting, requiring flexibility to work in both office and production

floor environments, where exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and varying temperatures is common, necessitating the use of

appropriate personal protective equipment and adherence to safety protocols. This job requires remaining in a stationary

position 10% of the time, whether standing or sitting, and moving about inside the facility. This job requires operating a

computer 50% of the time. This job requires the ability to be able to lift to 40lbs.
