Shop Coordinator

Position Overview: As the Shop Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in managing the day-to-day operations of our shop. Your responsibilities will include overseeing inventory management, maintaining accurate maintenance records, and ensuring the shop remains clean and organized. This is a hands-on position requiring strong organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inventory Management:
  • Conduct regular inventory checks to monitor stock levels and ensure supplies are readily available for crews.
  • Order supplies as needed and manage relationships with suppliers.
  • Track inventory usage and implement processes to minimize waste and overstock.
• Maintenance Records:
  • Keep detailed and accurate records of all maintenance activities performed on shop equipment and tools.
  • Schedule and oversee routine maintenance and repairs to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Coordinate with external service providers for specialized maintenance needs.
• Shop Cleanliness and Organization:
  • Maintain a clean and organized shop environment by following established cleaning schedules and procedures.
  • Ensure that all tools, equipment, and supplies are properly stored and easily accessible.
  • Implement and enforce safety and cleanliness standards to provide a safe working environment for all team members.
• Truck Maintenance:
  • Keep detailed and accurate records of all maintenance activities performed on fleet vehicles
  • Schedule and oversee routine maintenance and repairs to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Order maintenance supplies as needed and keep inventory stocked.
  • Drive trucks to the mechanic and pick up tires from the tire shop

• Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with a diverse team.
• Basic understanding of inventory management and maintenance procedures.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving supplies, and operating equipment safely.
• Proficiency in using inventory management software and basic office applications.
• Forklift experience
• Basic knowledge of construction tools and general equipment
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass a DOT physical exam.
