Position Title: Fleet Maintenance Supervisor

Location: Baltimore, MD

Salary: $125,000+ (commensurate with experience)

Position Overview:

WIN Waste Innovations is seeking a dedicated and experienced Fleet Maintenance Supervisor to lead our Baltimore, MD team. This pivotal role is crucial in ensuring the high performance and reliability of our waste management fleet. As the Fleet Maintenance Supervisor, you will oversee a team of skilled maintenance technicians, drive operational efficiency, and uphold the highest standards of safety and compliance. Your leadership will directly contribute to our mission of promoting sustainable waste management and environmental stewardship.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of maintenance technicians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.

  • Assign and prioritize daily tasks, ensuring timely and efficient execution of work orders.

  • Facilitate ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and support career progression.

2. Operational Efficiency

  • Maintain accurate records in the computerized fleet management system (TMW), including inventory management, preventive maintenance schedules, and corrective actions.

  • Forecast and manage fleet repairs, ensuring fleet availability and cost-effective inventory management.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to support seamless maintenance operations.

3. Compliance & Safety

  • Champion environmental compliance and reinforce the "Safety On Purpose" culture across the organization.

  • Conduct regular audits and inspections, diagnose equipment issues, and implement timely repairs to minimize fleet downtime.

  • Thoroughly investigate accidents and near-miss incidents, ensuring corrective actions are effectively implemented.

  • Oversee fleet registrations and maintain all necessary documentation, including IFTA and overweight permits.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred, or equivalent mechanical experience with proven leadership skills.

  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years in a mechanical role and 4 years in a leadership position within a maintenance or related environment.

  • Skills:

    • Strong leadership with a proven ability to coach, mentor, and manage teams across multiple disciplines.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively at all organizational levels.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience in data analysis and KPI management.

    • Proficiency in relevant software and fleet management programs (e.g., TMW).

    • Advanced mechanical knowledge of equipment and vehicles, particularly diesel trucks.
