Position: Railway Maintenance Supervisor

The Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Railway Maintenance Supervisor. This position is essential for overseeing the maintenance and repair operations within the rail sector, ensuring that our transit systems remain safe and efficient.

Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the upkeep of rail tracks, equipment, and associated components.
- Manage and direct track inspectors, delegating repair tasks to meet regulatory standards set by the Federal Railroad Administration.
- Utilize MAXIMO for tracking maintenance activities and ensuring compliance with safety regulations established by Federal and OSHA standards.
- Analyze and monitor time, materials, and expenses related to maintenance projects.
- Directly oversee the work of maintenance personnel, ensuring high-quality standards are met.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: A minimum of three years in the repair, installation, inspection, and maintenance of rail systems and facilities.

Special Requirements:
- Must maintain reliable communication for emergency response.
- Candidates will undergo pre-employment drug testing and are subject to ongoing substance abuse testing.
- A valid Maryland Driver's License is required, and a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) class B is necessary for this role.
