Position Summary

The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor is tasked with overseeing, coordinating, and guiding the daily operations of the maintenance department. The primary goal is to ensure the optimal performance of the plant's equipment and facilities. This role emphasizes the importance of safety, requiring the implementation and adherence to safe work practices while promoting a culture of safety within the maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily maintenance activities through the Maintenance Supervisor and Senior Maintenance Specialist.
  • Develop and implement work practices that enhance equipment availability while managing costs effectively.
  • Identify and coordinate training materials and sessions to elevate the skill set of maintenance staff.
  • Oversee the design, construction, and upkeep of machinery and equipment.
  • Facilitate the development and approval of the annual capital plan, establishing criteria for project scope and scheduling.
  • Support new product initiatives and manufacturing processes through equipment and material development, installation, and commissioning.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulatory requirements across the facility.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date plant drawings and documentation.
  • Administer preventive and predictive maintenance programs to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Assess and recommend modifications to equipment systems for continuous improvement, focusing on cost reduction and safety enhancement.

Physical Requirements

  • Capability to climb ladders.
  • Able to lift, push, and/or pull up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Availability to respond to emergencies outside of regular hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is preferred.
  • Proficient understanding of mechanical and electrical industrial systems and controls.
  • Familiarity with maintenance best practices, including preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Experience with project management and budgeting.
  • Ability to mentor and develop team members across various levels.
