Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at ASR Group/Domino Sugar. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for directing and coordinating the maintenance operations, with a focus on mechanical maintenance functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and Coordinate Maintenance Operations: Oversee the maintenance of a safe and healthy working environment, eliminating hazards, training employees, and promoting safety awareness throughout the facility.
  • Corrective Action and Risk Reduction: Take corrective action to reduce safety risks, maintenance problems, and waste to maximize continuous availability of refinery equipment.
  • Maintenance Work Order Management: Review, approve, and schedule maintenance work orders, providing resources and inspecting work in progress and after completion for accuracy and timeliness.
  • Equipment Up-Time and Resource Allocation: Coordinate daily maintenance work to ensure maximum equipment up-time while utilizing available equipment, tools, materials, and manpower.
  • Preventative Maintenance Program: Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program for equipment and/or facility in accordance with manufacturers and/or engineering guidelines.
  • Vendor Interface and Technical Data Collection: Interface with outside vendors for equipment and parts purchases, collecting technical data on equipment for modification or replacement.
  • Cost Management and Efficiency: Review costs and take action to eliminate or minimize unnecessary spending, including consumption of supplies and machine parts.
  • Special Projects and Documentation: Supervise special maintenance/engineering projects, ensuring the highest level of workmanship, and assist in the preparation and completion of technical and non-technical documents.
Requirements
  • Knowledge and Experience: Five plus years of related experience, with three years of maintenance supervisory experience preferred.
  • Education and Certifications: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Core Competencies: Analytical thinking, business and financial acumen, effective communication, customer orientation, establishes trust, problem-solving, results orientation, teamwork, change management, and develops others.
