The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the insurtech / insurance industry, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of building successful partnerships.

Key Responsibilities of the VP of Partnerships / VP Business Development / Partnerships Director

  • Strategic Partnership Development: Identify, evaluate, and establish strategic partnerships that align with the company’s goals and enhance our market presence.
  • Negotiation and Contract Management: Lead negotiations and manage contractual agreements with partners to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key partners, ensuring continuous collaboration and alignment of objectives.
  • Market Research: Conduct thorough market analysis to identify potential partnership opportunities and stay updated on industry trends and competitive landscape.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including product development, marketing, sales, and legal, to ensure successful partnership execution and integration.
  • Performance Monitoring: Develop and implement metrics to measure the effectiveness of partnerships and regularly report on performance to senior leadership.
  • Leadership: Provide leadership and mentorship to the partnerships team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

Qualifications of the VP of Partnerships / VP Business Development / Partnerships Director

  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in partnership development, business development, or a related role, preferably within the insurtech or insurance industry.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA or other advanced degree is a plus.
  • Skills:
    • Proven track record of successfully negotiating and managing high-impact partnerships.
    • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
