Job DescriptionJob Description

Introduction:

Are you a seasoned technical recruiter with leadership experience and a passion for driving recruitment strategy? Do you excel at leading teams and finding top-tier talent in a competitive technical landscape? If you’re a recruiting expert who thrives on building and scaling high-performing teams, then our client has an exciting opportunity for you. We’re searching for a Lead Technical Recruiter (aka The Talent Strategist) to manage recruitment efforts, mentor a team of recruiters, and bring the best technical talent to the organization.

Imagine being the person responsible for shaping recruitment strategies and guiding a team of talented recruiters to find the engineers, developers, and technologists that will drive the company’s growth. As the Lead Technical Recruiter at our client, you’ll oversee the entire recruitment process, build relationships with hiring managers, and ensure that the company attracts and retains top technical talent. This role is about more than just finding candidates—it’s about building a long-term talent strategy that scales with the company’s vision.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Recruitment Strategy and Leadership:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive recruiting strategy that aligns with the company’s growth objectives. You’ll lead recruitment efforts, ensuring that the team sources and hires top-tier technical talent in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Team Leadership and Mentorship:
    • Lead and mentor a team of technical recruiters, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure their success. You’ll help them refine their sourcing techniques, improve candidate engagement, and close roles faster.
  • End-to-End Recruitment Oversight:
    • Manage the full-cycle recruiting process for high-priority technical roles, from sourcing and screening to interviewing and negotiating offers. You’ll ensure that every candidate has a seamless experience, from initial contact to onboarding.
  • Collaboration with Hiring Managers:
    • Partner closely with hiring managers and leadership teams to understand their talent needs and craft tailored recruiting strategies. You’ll provide market insights, advise on hiring best practices, and ensure that roles are filled with the right talent.
  • Talent Pipeline Development:
    • Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline for current and future hiring needs. You’ll engage both active and passive candidates, ensuring that the company has access to a steady stream of qualified talent.
  • Data-Driven Recruitment:
    • Use recruiting metrics and data to track performance, identify areas for improvement, and refine sourcing strategies. You’ll report on key metrics such as time-to-hire, quality-of-hire, and candidate satisfaction to ensure recruiting goals are met.
  • Employer Branding and Candidate Engagement:
    • Promote the company’s employer brand, showcasing its culture, technology stack, and unique opportunities to prospective candidates. You’ll attend industry events, meetups, and networking events to engage with the technical community.

Requirements

Required Skills:

  • Leadership and Mentorship: Proven experience leading and mentoring a team of technical recruiters. You’re skilled at providing guidance, fostering collaboration, and driving the team toward shared recruiting goals.
  • Technical Recruiting Mastery: In-depth understanding of technical roles, tools, and technologies, including software engineering, DevOps, data science, cloud infrastructure, and IT. You’re comfortable discussing technical requirements with both candidates and hiring managers.
  • Strategic Sourcing: Expertise in sourcing passive and active candidates through platforms like LinkedIn, GitHub, Stack Overflow, and tech-specific job boards. You know how to leverage networks, referrals, and industry events to find the best talent.
  • Full-Cycle Recruiting: Extensive experience in full-cycle recruiting for technical roles, from sourcing and screening to interviewing, negotiating offers, and onboarding. You’ve successfully filled high-level technical positions across various industries.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and leadership teams. You communicate effectively and can present ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Data-Driven Approach: Experience using recruiting metrics and analytics to track performance, optimize processes, and improve overall hiring outcomes. You make informed decisions based on data and can identify areas for improvement.
  • Humor: A great sense of humor, because even in the fast-paced world of recruiting, we believe in creating a positive and enjoyable work environment. If you can keep your team motivated and engaged while delivering results, you’re our kind of leader.

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field. Equivalent experience with a proven track record in technical recruiting and leadership is also valued.
  • Certifications in HR or recruiting (e.g., SHRM, AIRS) are a plus. If you’ve completed technical recruiting workshops or leadership programs, that’s an added bonus.

Experience Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in technical recruiting, with at least 2-3 years of experience in a leadership or team management role. You’ve successfully built and led recruiting teams that fill technical roles efficiently.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth industries such as tech startups, SaaS companies, or high-tech enterprises.
  • Proven success in managing full-cycle recruiting for technical roles such as software engineering, DevOps, cloud computing, and data science.

Benefits

  • Health and Wellness: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans with low co-pays and premiums.
  • Paid Time Off: Competitive vacation, sick leave, and 20 paid holidays per year.
  • Work-Life Balance: Flexible work schedules and telecommuting options.
  • Professional Development: Opportunities for training, certification reimbursement, and career advancement programs.
  • Wellness Programs: Access to wellness programs, including gym memberships, health screenings, and mental health resources.
  • Life and Disability Insurance: Life insurance and short-term/long-term disability coverage.
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP): Confidential counseling and support services for personal and professional challenges.
