We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations person to oversee and manage the floor operations during the operating hours of our nightclub. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth, efficient, and profitable operations while delivering exceptional customer experiences. The role will be responsible for managing the bar, overseeing door operations including dynamic pricing based on capacity, supporting VIP hosts with table sales, and making real-time decisions on pricing and capacity management. Additionally, the Operations Manager will assist with the end-of-night closeout procedures to ensure all operations are wrapped up seamlessly.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Floor Management:
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations on the nightclub floor during operating hours, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
    • Monitor and maintain the bar's performance, ensuring that stock levels are adequate, service is efficient, and customer satisfaction is high.
    • Coordinate with bartenders and bar staff to ensure all areas are well-stocked, clean, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
  • Door Operations:
    • Manage the door team to ensure smooth entry for guests, including managing guest lists, ensuring ID checks are carried out, and handling any issues that arise at the door.
    • Implement dynamic pricing strategies at the door based on current capacity, event popularity, artist lineup, and overall venue vibe.
    • Communicate effectively with security staff to ensure the safety and security of all guests and staff.
  • VIP Host Support:
    • Work closely with VIP hosts to maximize table sales, adjusting pricing and offers based on current capacity, artist performances, and guest demand.
    • Make real-time decisions regarding VIP table availability and pricing to optimize revenue and enhance the guest experience.
  • Customer Experience:
    • Ensure that all guests receive exceptional service throughout their visit, from entry to the nightclub to the close of the night.
    • Address and resolve any customer service issues or conflicts that arise on the floor promptly and professionally.
  • End-of-Night Closeout:
    • Assist with closing procedures, including reconciling sales, ensuring all areas are clean and secure, and preparing reports on the night's performance.
    • Coordinate with bar staff, security, and cleaning teams to ensure that all operations are properly shut down and ready for the next event.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead by example, providing guidance, support, and training to floor staff, bartenders, security, and VIP hosts.
    • Foster a positive and motivated team environment, ensuring that all staff members are aligned with the nightclub’s goals and standards.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in operation, preferably in a nightclub, bar, or entertainment venue setting.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to make quick, informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on creating memorable guest experiences.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capability to handle conflicts and emergencies professionally.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required by the nightclub's schedule.
Competencies:
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Proficient in using Point of Sale (POS) systems and inventory management software.
    • Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software for managing guest lists, VIP reservations, and sales tracking.
    • Competent in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for report generation, data analysis, and communication.
    • Ability to learn and adapt to new software tools and systems used in nightclub operations.
  • Leadership and Team Management:
    • Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a diverse team in a high-pressure environment.
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Analytical Thinking:
    • Ability to analyze data to make informed decisions regarding pricing, capacity management, and overall floor operations.
    • Competence in monitoring financial performance and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Interpersonal Skills:
    • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with staff, guests, and management.
    • Strong conflict resolution skills to handle guest complaints and staff issues professionally.
Working Conditions:
  • The role requires working in a lively, high-energy nightclub environment, with late-night hours and a fast-paced atmosphere.
  • The Operations Manager will be on their feet for most of the shift, overseeing multiple areas of the venue and interacting with staff and guests.
