ROLE
Kaimetrix is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Engineer to provide Tier III Enterprise Support at Fort Eisenhower, GA. The Senior Systems Engineer will be responsible for build installation, fault isolation, repair, periodic inspection, and analysis of enterprise systems, ensuring continued availability and functionality of critical infrastructure. This role requires a deep understanding of modern technologies, including VMware, Windows, RHEL, and Cross Domain Solutions, as well as strong technical and problem-solving skills.

Kaimetrix will support INSCOM's mission by delivering products and services that enhance readiness and sustain Soldiers, Civilians, systems, and facilities. Key support activities include Program/Project Management, Network Engineering, Data Visualization, Cloud Engineering, System/Program Administration, Operations Research/Systems Analysis, Data Platform Analysis, System Evaluation, Test/Data Engineering, Full Stack/System/DevOps Engineering, System Engineering, and Distributed Processing, and Exploitation and Dissemination - Converged Infrastructure (DPED-CI).

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Enterprise Support:

    • Ensure continued availability and functionality of enterprise auditing tools.
    • Perform daily review of Splunk dashboards for AD replication, storage allocations, and system health.
    • Monitor systems using VMware tools for VDI monitoring.

  • Cross Domain Solution Support:

    • Provide operations and maintenance for local cross-domain solutions.
    • Perform daily touch-maintenance and quarterly security updates.
    • Ensure functionality and availability, and coordinate with Enterprise Tier III and vendors.

  • Operating System Deployment and Maintenance:

    • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot deployments of Windows, RHEL, and VDI environments.
    • Deploy baseline operating system templates and VDI for users and administrators.
    • Manage WSUS and RHEL YUM servers for patching VMs.

  • Domain Controller Management:

    • Deploy and maintain Domain Controllers, ensuring functional replication and Active Directory management.

  • Virtual Environment Support:

    • Provide application upgrades, configuration enhancements, and functionality testing using VMware products.
    • Ensure enterprise services are modernized, patched, and security hardened.

  • Kubernetes Container Infrastructure:

    • Deploy and maintain Kubernetes Tanzu container environments for single and multi-unit configurations.

  • Application Management:

    • Provide support for applications running on virtual OS, including upgrades, enhancements, and deployments.

  • Microsoft SQL Maintenance:

    • Provide support for Microsoft SQL servers, including upgrades, enhancements, and deployments.

  • Operational Cybersecurity:

    • Conduct scans, ensure deployment baselines, and perform periodic auditing.
    • Review logs, report suspicious activity, and ensure compliance with DoD and Intelligence Community policies.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 9-13 years of relevant experience.
  • Current TS//SCI with CI Poly.
  • At least five (5) years of experience with Test and Evaluation within the last ten (10) years.
  • Current DoD Baseline Certification at IAT Level II or Higher.
  • DoD 8140 certified at the Information Assurance Technical Level III.
  • Certifications such as A+, CND, Network+, Security+, CCSP, Cloud+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, CASP+, CCNP, or equivalent.
EDUCATION
  • BA/BS or higher in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or Computer Engineering.
LOCATION
  •   Fort Eisenhower, GA
CLEARANCE
  • U.S. citizenship is required since this role supports the U.S. Federal government
  • Ability to pass a background investigation
  • Current DoD TOP SECRET Security Clearance with a CI Poly
TRAVEL
  • No travel required
WORK HOURS
  • 40 hours per week
  • 8 hours per day
