Business Development: Signage + Window Treatments

Are you a driven salesperson with a passion for business growth and relationship-building? Do you thrive getting in on the ground floor where your contributions make a tangible impact? One of the country’s top providers of blinds, shades and shutters is partnering with a leading signage company with over 25 years of success in the industry. We’re looking for a dynamic Business Development Representative to help expand the reach of these locally-owned businesses and to bring their revenue and success to the next level You’ll work under strategic owners who’ve doubled and even tripled their business since the time of purchase, and are ready to hire the right candidate to help them scale even further 

What We’re Looking For:
  • Sales Experience: Proven experience in outbound sales with a passion for building lasting relationships in B2B and B2C account management capacities. Bonus points for building a territory (We provide some leads but are looking for this level of impact.)
  • Self-Motivated & Goal-Oriented: Ability to take ownership of sales goals, meet monthly revenue targets, and find creative ways to achieve them.
  • Team Player: Someone who can work closely with ownership under multiple umbrellas, communicating when necessary to achieve shared goals but maintaining autonomous drive and problem-solving skills. 
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficient with CRM systems, lead generation software, and other digital tools that keep projects running and help you achieve goals.
  • Flexibility & Independence: Able to work within an existing framework but open to creating processes where needed. Driven to work well remotely when needed, with a focus on goal achievement.
What We Offer:
  • Base Salary: $47-51k/ year + commission structure.
  • Projected Earnings: $70-80k+ in year 1, 100k+ in year 2 and beyond
  • PTO: 7 sick days + 1 week of vacation + 6 paid holidays per year.
  • Reimbursements: Mileage reimbursement available for training period and beyond. Company-provided vehicle available after training period.
  • Technology & Equipment: We’ll get you the tech needed to get the job done
  • Schedule: Typically Monday-Friday, 9-5. Some flexibility will be needed from time to time to execute sales and projects moving. 
  • Ramp-Up Period: 60-90 day training period to ensure your success

The role in 4 Parts: 

 
  • Brand Awareness: 
    • Proactively promote the company and get our name out there by building a strong presence in the market. 
    • Practice Industry networking with the construction community, establishing and maintaining relationships with project managers, realtors, and other key stakeholders. 
    • Represent the company at business events, trade shows, and home shows to build brand visibility and network with potential clients.
    • Engage in creative outbound sales efforts when not conducting B2C consultations.
  • B2B Sales and Account Management: 
    • Drive sales for the signage business, which primarily operates in the B2B space. 
    • Build and sustain a solid reputation by nurturing ongoing relationships with existing and potential clients for both businesses in the construction, interior design, and real estate sectors.
    • Maintain a flexible approach to outreach and relationship management, adapting strategies as needed.
  • Lead and Sales Management: 
    • Handle inbound leads using lead generation software and follow up with phone calls to capitalize on opportunities. 
    • Take full ownership of sales activities and work towards achieving monthly revenue goals, adjusting strategies as needed to ensure targets are met.
    • Manage and agree-upon percentage of company-generated leads while initiating enough lead execution on your own to meet and exceed sales goals. 
    • Distribute promotional materials in new construction neighborhoods and other targeted areas to generate interest and leads.
  • B2C Sales + Account Management: 
    • Play a key role in scheduling and leading consultative sales for blinds.
    • Oversee the client experience from the point of sale through installation, ensuring seamless communication and satisfaction throughout the process. 
    • Become familiar with and execute the hands- installation/repair process during in-home appointments with customers. 
    • Expect to spend 2-3 days per week conducting these client consultations.
