We are seeking a skilled and motivated Staff Accountantto join our team The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, exceptional analytical skills and a keen attention to detail. This role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records and providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making.

What you'll do:
  • Assist with weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly accounting processes (accounts receivable, accounts payable, expense report processing).
  • Perform general ledger accounting, including journal entries.
  • Monitor and reconcile fixed assets and prepaid expenses.
  • Prepare special financial reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing account information and trends.
  • Perform month-end analysis and reconciliation.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other departments to gather and analyze financial data.
  • Support financial review by outside accountants by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Prepare and pay local, state and federal tax payments as directed by outside accountants.
  • Serve as backup for completing various department tasks when necessary.
What youll need:
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Significant experience and proficiency with QuickBooks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (advanced skills with Excel preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently and proceed with objectives without supervision.
  • Ability to handle and resolve recurring problems.
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time in front of a computer.
  • Ability to communicate effectively throughout the organization.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality standards.
  • Good judgment and problem-solving skills.
