Position Overview:
We are currently in search of a proficient Staff Accountant to enhance our financial team. This position is perfect for individuals who thrive in a collaborative and supportive work atmosphere. The role involves regular interaction with service technicians, electricians, clients, and vendor representatives, fostering a dynamic and engaging work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage incoming calls through our automated system.
  • Oversee all billing processes, excluding Contract Billing, which includes Time & Materials (T&M) billing, service billing, and billing for significant non-contract clients.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers and Technicians regarding billing oversight.
  • Facilitate and manage service work through phone communications.
  • Prepare and process bank deposits efficiently.
  • Generate and review weekly Job/Reports and Accounts Receivable (AR) Aging Reports.
  • Conduct collection activities as necessary.
  • Order and manage office supplies effectively.
  • Assist with filing, special projects, and various administrative tasks as required.
  • Participate in cross-training for all accounting functions, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Payroll.
  • Exhibit flexibility and support as a collaborative team member.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting is mandatory.
  • 5 to 10 years of relevant accounting experience is essential.
  • Experience in electrical accounting or a background in construction/trades is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Foundation Accounting software is advantageous.
  • CPA certification is a plus.
