About the Role: Our client, a leading player in the manufacturing sector known for its exceptional products and innovative practices, is in search of a highly proficient Senior Accountant.

This position is essential for overseeing intricate accounting operations, guaranteeing precise financial reporting, and aiding the organization in achieving its financial goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and oversee the General Ledger accounts and business transactions, adhering to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), which includes analytical tasks and meticulous review of financial documents.
  • Assist in the formulation of budgets and financial forecasts, performing variance analysis to identify trends and propose recommendations.
  • Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), ensuring the accurate and prompt processing of invoices, purchase orders, expense reports, credit memos, and payment transactions.
  • Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and precise reporting of all monthly financial data.
  • Prepare and review monthly bank statements, reconciling any discrepancies or inaccuracies.
  • Develop and enforce effective accounting policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate with external auditors, providing all necessary information and facilitating audits.
  • Prepare and present financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements, detailing the organization’s financial status.
  • Provide insightful information and expectations to the leadership team to support long-term and short-term decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience as a Senior Accountant, ideally within the manufacturing sector.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), corporate finance, and regulatory standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Excel.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with all levels of management and staff.
