Trystar’s team members are our most important asset, we are in search of a Procurement Manager. As part of the Enterprise Sourcing Organization, the Procurement Manager provides impactful leadership that manages and supports global Sourcing activities. The Procurement Manager will provide leadership and guidance to sourcing to drive total cost of ownership (TCO) into everything we do. Besides having a strategic mindset and being a highly skilled professional, we need a strong leader, clear communicator, and a problem-solving kind of person who loves being part of a team and take ownership in everything you do. This position provides Procurement leadership and alignment of supplier capabilities in order to provide cost and quality advantages. This role will be based in our Faribault, MN or Burnsville, MN sites.

In this role you will get to:
  • Oversee Sourcing Buyers onboarding and training
  • Manage efforts within Sourcing to meet production and launch dates across all projects
  • Primary influence with expertise in costing, leadership in making sourcing efficient and transformational, and driving and managing adherence to strategic direction of Global Sourcing to ensure Gross Margin targets and returns on investment (ROIs) are achieved
  • Supervise Sourcing Team milestone deliverables. OKR’s & Metrics are proactively managed, tracked and met and reports out on all Sourcing Team’s project status, ROI and Costing to Operations to senior stakeholders
  • Proactive risk mitigation leader across the sourcing organization to ensure continuity of supply and creating competition for cost benefit. This will involve close collaboration with Category Management to ensure mitigation plans are in place and implemented.
  • Captain on-going continuous improvement activities and process improvements as related to Sourcing to drive better speed to market, quality and long-term delivery
  • Leadership role for projects that expand across multiple business units
  • Build engaging relationships within Operations and cross-functionally within other Trystar Departments by becoming a value-added and sought after resource
  • Apply appropriate inventory strategies.
  • Supplier Performance Scorecards management and improvement.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment. All other tasks, projects, and assignments as assigned.
Job Requirements:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in in supply chain management or related field
  • 10 years of experience in project manager/operations, supply chain
  • 5 years’ experience managing and leading people and teams within an organization
  • Strong Microsoft Office and Oracle skills
  • Numeracy skills and good financial acumen
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects concurrently and ability to prioritize in a development environment
  • Up to 20% Travel
