Job Summary

Specialty Systems Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to oversee multiple projects from initial contract award through final project completion and acceptance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage project activities and supervise contract administration and submittal process, including shop drawings, procurement of materials and fabricators, and overall coordination of project activities.
  • Monitor job cost vs. budget performance goals and qualify project scope and specifications with the project estimator.
  • Deal with architects, engineers, the general contractor, and subcontractors to ensure successful project execution.
  • Schedule and coordinate efforts with field and shop personnel to meet project deadlines.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and vendors to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in commercial project management/estimating.
  • Strong supervisory and managerial skills, with ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to attend job site meetings for trade coordination when necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with exterior architectural metal panels and metal roof systems.
  • Knowledge of other construction software, including material optimization programs and CAD.
  • Trade organization membership and participation.
