REPORTS TO: Chief Credit Officer at American Bank - Montana

 

JOB SUMMARY: The Business Analyst is responsible for the daily operations, maintenance, configuration, and enhancements of the Salesforce platform and administration of the nCino application, the bank’s loan management system. This position is responsible for managing the commercial loan life cycle within the nCino application on the Salesforce platform and ensure the bank is optimizing the customer experience.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

The primary duties of the Business Analyst are:

  • Perform administration of the bank’s Salesforce nCino implementation, security settings, as well as managing users.
  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve end user problems in a manner that underscores the bank’s high standards of customer service.
  • Create, update, and manage nCino Support Cases.  This is to include researching documentation available in the nCino Community, clearly defining the issue, setting the appropriate priority, providing the appropriate steps to reproduce the issue and actively working with the assigned nCino Support Engineer to resolve the case.
  • Use project management skills in conjunction with the lending business unit’s management to gather, document, and prioritize necessary fixes and enhancements.
  • Develop and maintain custom reports, dashboards, and processes to continuously improve data quality, process integrity and productivity.
  • Handle application configuration such as, but not limited to, validation & workflow rules, approval processes, form generation templates and credit memo templates.
  • Perform proper change management between environments.
  • Complete and monitor bulk imports of data into nCino.
  • Develop training plans, materials, and documentation for application users, keep materials up to date, coordinate new user and ongoing training sessions for new employees.
  • Monitor user adoption rates and respond as needed (i.e. additional training sessions, communication, modifications, or other resources) to optimize the application.
  • Design, document, test and deploy fixes and enhancements to nCino objects, layouts, workflows, notifications, reports, and dashboards.
  • Document and track business logic, workflow, changes, and other customizations made within nCino.
  • Ensure upcoming changes are documented and disseminated to the affected users and training coordinator.
  • Work with internal security to recommend role, profile, and hierarchy changes.
  • Identity opportunities for application optimization, redesign, and development.

 

Additional duties of the Business Analyst are:

  • Creating reports for management relative to loan and/or deposit portfolios, developing stress testing on the loan portfolio, creating profitability metrics by branch, account type, etc.
  • Compiling and validating data for board reporting and management decisioning.
  • Work in collaboration with various departments for creating efficiencies in workflows or with reporting; for example, ACL calculations with various Q factors.


Competencies:

  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision as well as in a team setting.
  • Ability to understand banking business lending processes and work with business unit to adjust processes as needed to improve and streamline workflows.
  • Strong understanding of relational database concepts and designs.
  • Ability to decipher user needs to produce efficient output from various programs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Project management skills.

 

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Highly proficient with MS Office products, specifically Excel.
  • Software support experience preferred.
  • Salesforce administration and/ or nCino administration preferred.
  • Financial institution banking background or working knowledge of lending.
  • Experience with business workflows, and reporting, including Cognos reports building.
  • Experience with various web technologies (HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, JavaScript).
  • Salesforce or nCino Administration Certification preferred.

 

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Administration, Business Management, Economics, Finance, Financial Engineering, Computer Science, MIS, or a related field.


WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled, on-site, shared work area with moderate noise level.  Normal hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.  Exposed to a potentially hazardous condition – robbery.  Receives detailed instructions and procedures to be followed to minimize the risk. Will be expected to work under time constraints and outside normal business hours as necessary to complete responsibilities.

  • Cognitive abilities: reading, writing, learning, retaining and recalling relevant information, focusing for long periods, handling moderate stress and interacting with others, working independently, basic and advanced mathematics, categorizing, visualizing conclusions, research, analyzing data, integrating information for decision making, problem-solving, and comprehension.
  • Driver’s license: employee is required to possess and maintain a valid driver’s license for operating bank vehicles or personal vehicle on the bank’s behalf.

 

Travel Requirements: Primary work assignment will be in the location assigned or main/corporate branch; travel may occasionally be needed to non-primary location. American Bank will pay for my time spent traveling and will reimburse my mileage at the current designated IRS mileage reimbursement rate.


SALARY GRADE: 14/15 DOE
