General Description:

The Command Center Representative is responsible for staffing a key desk within a government agency's Command Center, operating 24/7. This position monitors events that could impact the operations and security of the government complex and coordinates the appropriate response of resources when necessary.

Major Duties:

  • Event Monitoring: Continuously monitor radio communications, media reports, and other information sources to identify events that may affect the operations and security of the government complex.

  • Impact Assessment: Evaluate potential impacts such as road closures, restricted access points, and other operational constraints.

  • Special Event Monitoring: Track the status of special events that could influence the complex's security and operations.

  • Liaison Work: Serve as a liaison with law enforcement, security personnel, and other relevant agencies to ensure coordinated responses to incidents.

  • Incident Coordination: Manage the response to incidents affecting operations and/or security, ensuring resources are appropriately deployed.

  • Process Improvement: Review and suggest enhancements to Command Center checklists and operational materials.

  • SOP Development: Assist in the creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Command Center operations.

  • Shift Reporting: Prepare and submit daily reports summarizing activities and incidents during each shift.

  • Leadership Notifications: Provide timely notifications to agency leadership regarding events that impact the security and operations of the government complex.

  • Incident Reporting: Regularly document and communicate incidents through various methods, such as email or incident management systems.

Professional Qualifications/Skills:

  • Security Clearance: Must have a current Top Secret security clearance, with the ability to maintain it throughout the contract's duration.

  • Experience: A minimum of five (5) years, preferably seven (7) years, of experience in one or more of the following areas:

    • Law enforcement or security
    • Emergency management
    • Operations centers for law enforcement, security, or emergency management

  • Adaptability: Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities and manage those new priorities effectively.

  • Multi-tasking: Demonstrated capability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions while maintaining focus on critical
