Key Responsibilities:
- Minimize injury risks by instructing clients on proper techniques for various activities, especially those involving advanced equipment.
- Uphold gym standards and safety protocols to guarantee a secure and comfortable environment for clients during workouts.
- Conduct personal fitness assessments to ensure all fitness plans are appropriate for each individual.
- Track client progress and modify fitness strategies as needed.
- Enhance client fitness by personalizing exercises to cater to each individual's unique abilities and requirements.
- Design and lead dance classes for students ranging from Pre-K to 12th grade.
- Teach diverse dance styles, techniques, and choreographies suitable for various age groups and skill levels.
- Create an encouraging and inclusive atmosphere where students can explore and refine their dance skills.
- Collaborate with educational staff to incorporate dance lessons into the academic curriculum and school events.
- Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback to improve learning outcomes.
- Work with fellow instructors and staff to organize performances, recitals, and showcases throughout the academic year.
- Maintain a safe and orderly dance studio, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Exhibit outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with clients and colleagues.
- Demonstrated customer service experience with a strong focus on guest satisfaction.
- Educational qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent GED certification.
- This position requires certification as a fitness instructor or personal trainer.
- Possess strong organizational and time management abilities.

LTYC enriches the lives of thousands of underserved youth in the Maryland, D.C., and Virginia school systems through arts education programs and more, empowering them to develop their artistic talents and reach their fullest potential.
