Business Development Representative

We're excited to be seeking a Business Development Representative to engage and build relationships with future clients across North America. In this role, you'll play a vital part in educating prospects about our software platform, designed to increase the use of low-carbon, sustainable building products in commercial real estate projects globally.

ABOUT TANGIBLE

Building materials are responsible for approximately 11% of all global greenhouse gas emissions, and real estate development firms are facing increasing investor pressure, regulations, and tenant demand to build more sustainably.

Tangible is a software platform for real estate developers and general contractors to measure, understand, and reduce the embodied carbon of developments portfolio-wide.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Location: Fully remote or hybrid in San Francisco

What are we looking for?

As the Business Development Representative at Tangible, you will be responsible for driving growth by targeting and engaging top accounts while supporting pipeline opportunities. This role offers a motivated individual the chance to establish a strong foundation and thrive in a fast-paced environment. We're looking for a results-driven candidate with a hunger for success.

What you bring:

  • 1-3 years of client-facing experience in sales.
  • Proven ability to cold-call.
  • The ability to thrive in ambiguity and work autonomously.
  • Have fantastic communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex concepts in a simple way.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • The ability to operate with high horsepower, be adept at frequent context switching and working on multiple projects at once with expansive ownership, and ruthless prioritization.

Some of the things you’ll be working on:

  • Connect with potential clients using various methods like cold calling, email, LinkedIn, and investor networks.
  • Qualify leads to match our criteria and keep accurate records in Salesforce and other systems.
  • Collaborate closely with Tangible’s founders to move opportunities through the pipeline effectively.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, aligning Tangible's value with their business goals.
  • Help manage and nurture the sales pipeline, ensuring timely follow-ups and engagement throughout the sales cycle.
  • Gather market insights to refine Tangible's outreach strategy and stay aligned with market needs.
