Position: Human Resources Generalist
Department: Human Resources
FLSA Status: Exempt
Reports to: Senior Manager of Human Resources
POSITION SUMMARY: Manage daily tasks to support field employees for specific account(s). Provide timely and accurate service to employees on-site and off-site while ensuring compliance with current customer contracts, legal and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with Human Resources Team, Finance, Compliance, HR, IT, Sales, and Recruiting to address issues pertaining to employee engagement and offboarding services.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct employee touch points throughout the employee lifecycle (via phone, video, or in person)
- Responsible for processing all FMLA requests for field and corporate employees
- Main point of contact at Epitec for STD and LTD claims
- Responsible for managing collecting benefit deductions that will be missed due to any leave of absence (planned or unplanned)
- Processes all mail, including COBRA enrollments/terminations, garnishment changes, carrier approvals, etc
- Responsible for reporting between Epitec and all carriers, including, but not limited to, file feeds and discrepancy reports
- Responsible for reviewing Epitec reporting to identify any potential terminations or leaves of absence and monitor for impacts to benefit coverage or employee payroll deductions
- Manages I9 expirations and work authorization expirations
- Maintains appropriate documentation relating to visas and other information related to the student visas
- Monitor critical dates related to employees' immigration cases to ensure timely management of their cases and ensure business needs are met.
- Facilitate the administrative portion of performance review process
- Deliver performance feedback to consultants (via phone, video, or in person)
- Problem solving - identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner inviting conversation and with an openness to new ideas.
- Respond to requests from employees accurately and timely via the ticketing system
- Maintain highly organized employee files
- Offboard employees following Epitec and Customer requirements
- Read, interpret, and apply state specific laws and regulations
- Assist with writing, updating, and publishing employee communications
- Other duties as needed
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent facilitation, written and verbal communication and influence skills
- Must adapt to frequent changes in environment while staying detail oriented; effectively manage competing demands and prioritize frequent change, delays, or unexpected events
- High regard for quality, ensuring documents are organized, easy to read, accessible, compliant, and completed according to established timelines and documented processes
- Communicate clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations
- Strong attention to detail with ability to execute on tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to understand customer contract requirements
- Dedicated to providing exceptional customer and employee service
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Demonstrated HR Expertise
- Demonstrated problem solving skills
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office programs
- 1-2 years of business experience including but not limited to; recruiting, HR functions, staffing.
- Demonstrated experience speaking with people on a daily basis
- Demonstrated experience in customer service
