DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Office Administration

  • Monitor, process, and control spending, including but not limited to office supplies, vending, office machines/equipment, and postage
  • Administer company fleet and FAVR programs
  • Schedule pool cars
  • Entertainment ticket management

2. Coordinate receptionist and maintenance scheduling and backup

  • Act as back up for receptionist
  • Coordinate receptionist, maintenance and backup schedule to ensure coverage
  • Mail back-up
  • Petty cash management (e.g. personal postage)

3. Steel Technologies Foundation (STF) administration

  • Compile donation requests and coordinate with STF Committee and/or STF Board for approval
  • Maintain ledger and donation spreadsheets
  • Prepare letters and checks for distribution

4. Assist and support corporate event planning

  • Work with HR and Manager of Corporate Strategy & Communications to plan and execute corporate events (e.g. reservations, scheduling, food, etc.)
  • Attend events to handle onsite coordination and execution to ensure success

5. Logo Merchandise Program

  • Keeping the logo merchandise website current, ensuring adequate variety
  • Coordinating large logo orders with order owner
  • Ensuring consistent and proper use of logo

6. Industry professional organization/community liaison

  • Assess opportunities that align with the Company’s strategic vision
  • Coordinate organizational participation
  • Maintain and develop relationships with key organizations

7. All other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Strong technology skills, including being very proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to plan, adapt and be resourceful
  • Strong organizational, time-management and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to design and create materials for events, training, and presentations
  • Detail oriented with the willingness to analyze and make recommendations
  • Ability to sit, walk and stand for prolonged periods of time

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Prefer an Associate’s degree in a related field and two years of administrative support experience. Formal education may be substituted with experience and training when competency in the position is demonstrated.

This work is performed in an office setting with minimal to moderate noise due to computers, printers, and people.
