The Stena Group is looking for a professional People Ops Administrator who is ready to go to the next level and is eager to have an immediate impact. This position will primarily be performed on-site at our headquarters in downtown Salt Lake City.

In your role as People Ops Administrator, you will support the Director of People & Culture and be responsible for overseeing and improving our onboarding and administrative processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline and enhance our team member's onboarding experience and ensure compliance. Additionally, you will work closely with leaders to implement best practices and contribute to the overall development of a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

We are seeking a highly skilled and connected People Ops Administrator to join our purpose-driven People & Culture team.

Primary Duties

  • Provide administrative support to the People Ops team.
  • Oversee new hire onboarding for new employees including coordinating orientation sessions, completion of required paperwork and documentation, I-9 compliance, and coordinate with IT department for setup of company equipment.
  • Manage employee Records and HRIS, including maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personal information and benefits, generating reports for data analysis as needed.
  • Support benefits administration by providing information to employees regarding benefits packages, ensuring accurate and timely employee enrollments, and resolving basic benefits-related inquiries.
  • Assist with employee Relations by addressing basic employee inquiries and concerns and collaborating with members of People Ops for more complex employee relations issues.
  • Support policy administration by assisting with implementation and communication of HR policies and procedures and providing clarification on HR policies to employees.
  • Assist in conducting exit interviews including processing termination paperwork and ensuring offboarding tasks are completed and departure process is smooth.
  • Assist with payroll by addressing payroll-related inquiries from employees and collaborating with Finance teams to ensure accurate and timely processing.
  • Assist in occasional recruiting by posting job openings, reviewing resumes, and coordinating interviews.

Qualifications and Expectations

  • Associate degree or equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge and skills.
  • Administrative HR or related experience.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and Payroll systems; BambooHR, Helpside, or Justworks a plus.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Ability to identify and handle priority and/or sensitive issues with discretion and a commitment to confidentiality.
  • Proactive approach towards improving processes and systems.
  • Effective written and verbal communication/interaction skills.
  • Must have strong organizational skills.
