Our Core BTS client is in the need of a Sr. Systems/Network Administrator to join their team.


Position Summary

In collaboration with the Director of Information Technology and Innovation team, the Senior Network Administrator will support the strategic direction and the design of technology, infrastructure, software, communications, and networking systems, including the implementation and integration of external and internal business processing systems and applications across the community. The role monitors and maintains computerized management information systems by performing computer hardware and software installation, maintenance and troubleshooting, security patch updates, and configurations as needed. Additionally, diagnose and resolve any hardware, software, networking, or system issues that arise, as well as replace and upgrade any defective or outdated components. The Senior Network Administrator will ensure the Confidentiality, Integrity, and availability of computing systems to provide the users with the technology tools they need to perform their work in an efficient manner.

Additionally, the Senior Network Administrator will identify needs and help support the tech concierge in coordinating and using computer applications with residents and team members. The administrator responds to resident and team member requests in a manner that delivers exceptional customer service and guides the escalation and resolution of IT questions, issues, and requests to the appropriate channels.

Essential Functions

Provide support for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems, including configuring, managing, and monitoring storage systems.

Assist with designing and maintaining data and information management processes to ensure consistency, integrity, and security.

Provide support to IT systems, including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all the team members and resident/server/storage/network devices.

Support and configure audio/video conferencing, video monitoring, and security systems.

Make recommendations to purchase hardware, software, and system components.

Develop and monitor systems, network, and security policies and standards.

Develop practical and workable solutions to support the tech concierge in resolving technical issues.

Analyze requirements and potential solutions for technical and economic feasibility.

Establish, manage, and assist in system and user documentation, including departmental procedures and project work.

Assist in the analysis, design, and development of new technology.

Assist with designing and testing network models and identify, recommend, and implement alternative approaches when required.

Maintain and monitor the backup and disaster recovery solutions in collaboration with the IT system.

Set up detailed user access control and system security at the object level.

Maintain up-to-date system documentation for all responsible systems.

Support project implementations, installations, and technical systems through research, operational monitoring, and working with vendors as directed.

Manage technology assets, including, but not limited to, desktop and laptop computers, monitors, printers, peripheral devices, and software.

Assist with the discovery of technology (old and new) related to the Senior Living industry, including research, testing, and implementation as necessary to achieve organizational goals.

Optimize system operations and resource utilization and perform system capacity analysis and planning.

Provide detailed analysis and feedback to the tech concierge for escalated tickets.

Administrative tasks including but not limited to successfully completing compliance training and other required tasks.

Collaborate with IT Staff on security, desktop support tools, service desk, and architecture-related concerns.

Proven experience independently researching, planning, presenting, implementing, and maintaining substantial IT infrastructure solutions.


Education and Experience

A minimum of a high school diploma; associate or bachelors degree in computer science, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred; or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.

A minimum of 10 years professional services experience working in a similar role in the Healthcare industry or Senior Living residential environment preferred.

A minimum of 10 years experience and demonstrated working knowledge of standard horizontal software applications (Microsoft Office, Microsoft Active Directory) and operating environments (Microsoft Windows 10, Microsoft Server versions 2008-2019, VMware).
