Position: Security Alarm Systems Installer and Technician

Key Responsibilities

The primary duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Installation, testing, and servicing of both commercial and residential alarm systems, including burglar, smoke, and carbon monoxide alarms, along with associated wiring and programming.
  • Integration of alarm systems with audio/video and home automation control systems.
  • Installation, testing, and servicing of surveillance camera systems, including network and digital video recorders, cameras, wiring, and router configurations.
  • Support the audio/video and home automation teams as needed.
  • Provide clear and organized daily documentation and job status reports.
Technical Skills Required

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Hands-on experience with Honeywell/Resideo, DSC, and ClareOne security panels.
  • Practical knowledge of alarm systems including burglar, smoke, and carbon monoxide alarms, as well as their wiring.
  • Understanding of alarm system wiring topologies and circuits.
  • Familiarity with construction documents and methods.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power drills.
  • Experience with Windows PC and Mac/Apple products, including Microsoft Office Suite and Google Calendar.
  • Knowledge of local codes and installation procedures for alarm systems.
Non-Technical Skills Required

Successful candidates will demonstrate:

  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Professional communication skills, able to interact with clients in a clear and respectful manner.
  • Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively with other technicians.
  • Experience interacting with local government agencies for inspections and collaborating with various professionals on job sites.
  • Problem-solving skills to address system issues effectively.
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

The ideal candidate will exhibit leadership qualities and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.

Language Requirements: Fluency in English is mandatory; Spanish proficiency is a plus.

Physical Requirements: A clean driver's license is essential, and some heavy lifting may be required.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position, typically averaging 40 hours per week, with flexibility required based on job demands.

Compensation and Benefits
