The role demands a comfort level across various support tiers, from resolving network issues to the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of network devices, software, and services from commercial providers. Regular updates to management for strategic planning will be essential. Assignments and projects will be designated, and at times self-initiated, requiring independent judgment in balancing resources, timelines, work hours, and potential travel to regional sites to achieve objectives. The position necessitates the ability to manage risks associated with PC workstations, peripherals, and ancillary equipment. Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with DAOs, System Owners, SAs, and ISSM for security-related modifications to SSPs.
- Perform assessments of the Security Impact Analysis concerning changes to the network environment/ATO.
- Provide RMF subject matter expertise to the team and ISSM.
- Ensure that assessment and authorization packages are finalized in accordance with expected timelines and aligned with customer specifications.
- Deliver reports to the ISSM and relay top-down information back to the team.
- Timely submission of contract deliverables with a strong focus on quality and precision.
- Monitor, track, and report on daily and weekly activities undertaken by the ISSM.
- Assess configuration management (CM) for information system security software, hardware, and firmware.
- Review relevant STIGs and ACAS scans for systems undergoing changes.
- Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years of relevant experience or 8+ years in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of three years of DoD and/or Department of Defense Information Technology and Cybersecurity experience, with at least five years managing information security personnel.
- 2-5 years of experience in Risk Management, Cybersecurity Management, Security Models and Access Controls, Network Protocols, Cybersecurity Architecture, Software Development Security, STIGS, and Database Security for DoD or Department of the Air Force programs.
Certifications in the following:
Certified Authorization Professional (CAP), CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP+) CE, Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Associate, GIAC Security Leadership Certification (GSLC)
Must be a US citizen and possess and maintain a Secret clearance.
