Our client is seeking a talented Director of Human Resources to elevate their HR department and create an exceptional work environment dedicated to employee development. They are a leading transportation and logistics company based in the heart of San Francisco whose commitment to innovation and excellence has positioned them as a trusted partner in the industry. They are ready to take the HR organization to the next level with this crucial hire.
As the Director of Human Resources, you will be at the helm of the HR department, reporting directly to the President. Your mission is to cultivate a workplace where employees thrive and organizational goals are met through strategic HR practices. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of the workforce and contribute to their continued success, leading a team of similarly dedicated people operations professionals
What you will do:
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company’s objectives
- Foster a positive and inclusive work culture that emphasizes employee growth and development
- Lead talent acquisition efforts to attract and retain top talent in the industry
- Oversee performance management, employee relations, and compliance
- Drive initiatives that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Implement training and development programs to enhance employee skills and career progression
- Collaborate with senior leadership to support organizational change and development
- Ensure HR policies and procedures are up-to-date and effectively communicated
- Serve as a mentor to the HR team
What we are looking for:
- Proven experience in a HR leadership role, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team
- Strategic thinker with a track record of implementing successful HR initiatives
- Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
- Knowledge of HR systems, preferably ADP
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- HR certification, preferred
