Position Overview

The San Francisco Health Plan (SFHP) is seeking an experienced HR professional to enhance the health outcomes of our communities. The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) will play a crucial role in aligning business goals with employee and management needs within designated units.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary contact for assigned departments regarding HR matters.
  • Facilitate weekly discussions with respective business units.
  • Provide HR consultation to leadership for effective decision-making.
  • Analyze workforce trends and metrics to develop tailored solutions, programs, and policies.
  • Address complex employee relations challenges, conducting thorough and impartial investigations.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of legal requirements to mitigate risks and ensure compliance.
  • Offer guidance on performance management, including coaching, counseling, and career development.
  • Collaborate with management and staff to foster positive work relationships and enhance productivity.
  • Interpret HR policies and recommend improvements to ensure competitiveness and benefit the organization.
  • Support restructuring, workforce planning, and succession planning initiatives.
  • Identify and assess training needs for assigned business units.
  • Evaluate training programs to ensure they meet objectives, working closely with Learning and Development.
  • Collaborate with HR Operations on benefits education and communication.
  • Administer HR policies and procedures effectively.
  • Assist with performance management processes and annual evaluations.
  • Work with HR Director to ensure compliance with work authorization requirements.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in resolving complex employee relations issues.
  • At least 3 years of experience in HR generalist or analyst roles, covering compensation, organizational development, and employment laws.
  • Preferred experience in health plans or healthcare environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred or the ability to obtain within one year.
  • Experience with benefits administration and compensation systems is a plus.
