Reporting Relationship: Senior Director of Expansion

Job Summary:
This position will serve in a PMO environment to support LaserAway’s nationwide program of retail expansion as a project manager assigned to construction. Requisite knowledge of construction practices and construction management include but are not limited to: scheduling, plan reading, field condition assessments, permitting,
procurement support, monitoring and controlling, vendor management, project accounting, progress reporting, and supporting on-site buildout/fixturization.

Pay: $100-120k DOE

Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Serves as a primary point of contact to Landlords, contractors, and stakeholders as an Owner’s representative during construction
  • Manages multiple projects demonstrating expert judgment to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and responsibly delegates duties and responsibilities when necessary
  • Understands LaserAway’s strategic objectives, design fundamentals, technical requirements for services provided, and a comprehensive list of FF&E requirements
  • Tracks the progress of each project against goals, objectives, approved budgets, and approved timelines
  • Leads OAC meetings and manages construction administration duties (RFIs, submittals, change orders, plan revisions, etc.)
  • Responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of providing owner-direct equipment procurement to the site
  • Reviews construction plans for completeness, accuracy, and best practices
  • Quality assurance checks of shop drawings and submittals
  • Conducts periodic travel for site visits to monitor construction, identify discrepancies, develop solutions, and observe compliance of as-built conditions with the contract drawings and specifications
  • Consistently maintains accurate and up-to-date project schedules and supplemental tracking sheets to enable reporting across the portfolio
  • Escalates issues to the proper level of authority in a timely manner and communicates all necessary information with the project team to enable decision making at the appropriate level
  • Maintains clean & neat appearance, professionally representing the LaserAway Brand Standards in all interactions both virtually and in-person
  • Embraces change and maintains strong attention to detail, while demonstrating an analytical approach to problem solving
  • Executes assigned duties and responsibilities without prompting

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Architecture, Engineering, Business or a related field, or a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in construction management as a general contractor or owner’s representative
  • Active Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred, or equivalent training
  • Must have excellent verbal & written communication, and presentation skills
  • Proficient utilizing software applications; Google Suite Applications, Smartsheet, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • General knowledge of the permitting process and familiarity with construction best practices, including commercial tenant-improvement construction methods and general building codes
  • Ability to perform and supervise general labor such as the loading and unloading
  • boxes and equipment, and mounting miscellaneous fixtures (TV mounts, posters,etc)
  • Travel required up to 20%

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

  • Remote based, virtual meeting environment
  • Periodic field work and site inspections
  • Ability to climb ladder for roof access, and lift boxes and equipment up to 50 lbs
