As a Commercial Arborist Salesperson, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth by acquiring new clients and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers in the commercial arbor sector.   1. Sales Expertise in Commercial Arboriculture:

  • Client Acquisition and Retention: Proficient in identifying potential commercial clients and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers. The ability to reestablish trust with clients in competitive markets is crucial.

  • Proposal Development: Expertise in creating compelling proposals and profitable estimates that reflect a deep understanding of arboriculture, plant health care, and client needs.

  • Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills are needed to secure contracts and ensure favorable terms that align with company goals.

Technical Knowledge:

  • Arboriculture and Plant Health: Comprehensive knowledge of tree health, plant care, pest control, and removal practices. This includes staying current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices.

  • Certifications: Ideally, candidates should hold certifications such as ISA Certified Arborist or have a degree in Horticulture, Arboriculture, or a related field.

Market and Competitor Analysis:

  • Market Insights: The ability to analyze and respond to market trends, pricing dynamics, and competitive landscapes. This involves leveraging insights to inform strategic sales decisions and identify growth opportunities.

  • Competitor Monitoring: Keeping a close watch on competitor activities to identify potential threats and opportunities, particularly in highly competitive markets like Sacramento.

Business Development:

  • Strategic Planning: Developing and implementing business development strategies that resonate with target audiences, focusing on market expansion and client acquisition.

  • Innovation: Ability to innovate sales and marketing programs that drive overall company growth and adapt to changing market conditions.

Interpersonal and Communication Skills:

  • Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with clients, ensuring long-term business success.

  • Problem-Solving: Proactive in identifying and solving problems that may arise during the sales process or in client relations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to grow the client base in the commercial arbor sector.

  • Create and present compelling proposals and estimates that meet client needs and align with company objectives.

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, ensuring repeat business and customer loyalty.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of sales experience in the commercial arboriculture or landscaping industry.

  • Certification as an ISA Certified Arborist or equivalent preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of tree health, plant care, and related services.

  • Proven ability to develop and implement successful sales strategies in a competitive market.

  • Proficiency in CRM systems and other sales management tools.
