Old Republic Surety Company is seeking a seasoned professional to lead its commercial surety business development efforts in the West Region. As a Regional Director - Commercial Surety, you will be responsible for driving growth, profitability, and market share within your assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve production, underwriting, marketing, growth, and profit goals.
- Supervise and mentor direct reports, providing guidance on performance management and disciplinary action.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote company products and services, and maintain profitable business relationships with agency partners.
- Participate in regular travel to attend agency visits, industry-specific events, and meetings with prospective business partners.
- Manage organizational development, administer company policy, and conduct employee relations to ensure effective and adaptable offices within your assigned territory.
- Prepare and meet production budgets to ensure ongoing growth and profitability of the company.
- Monitor adherence to company underwriting policies and collaborate with other Regional Directors on the development of account-based Surety programs.
- High School diploma or equivalent, and a minimum of ten years of progressively successful managerial experience in underwriting, production, and marketing within the fidelity and surety industry.
- Expertise in financial analysis, with the ability to analyze large amounts of data to gain relevant information.
- Superior supervisory and/or project management skills, with the ability to lead change and inspire innovation.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively motivate others, with proficiency in Microsoft (MS) Windows and Office products.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong organizational and accurate proofreading skills, and the ability to maintain accurate records.
