Alpha Public Schools is a public charter school network of four schools educating approximately 1,900 scholars in east San Jose. A successful Alpha Special Education Team Member:
The successful Alpha team member believes that ALL students are capable of success. They uphold high expectations for students, ensuring that our scholars are achieving growth. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to uphold high expectations, foster and facilitate the intellectual and social development of our scholars. The Alpha Campus Supervisor will approach campus supervision with patience and creativity, using activities and mediation methods that will motivate scholars. Alpha is fiercely entrepreneurial and our students, families, and teachers are focused on creating in our scholars self-reliant leaders who will achieve success in their school, college, and career.
Alpha Campus Supervisors are expected to:
- Actively participate in maintaining a safe and orderly environment in the non classroom areas of the school, parking lot and grounds. This includes monitoring restrooms throughout the day, assisting lunch supervision and overseeing lunch detention, and ensuring a smooth traffic flow of students through transition periods.
- Support School leaders with Restorative justice practices (such as leading circles and supporting with conflict mediation)
- Support with DeansList administration and manage low incident referrals, as needed
- Monitor the physical safety of campus buildings by locking and unlocking doors and gates and monitoring school slack for teacher messages regarding behavior support needs for students
- Support with visitor management, on campus attendance and emergency plans as needed. When emergencies arise, the Campus Monitor will assist staff, police, and emergency personnel in handling emergencies or disruptive situations, and write and submit incident reports to school leaders as appropriate

You Possess…
- High school diploma or GED, required
- CPR and First Aid Certification, highly preferred
