Overview
We are in search of a resourceful, motivated, and adaptable individual with a strong customer service orientation to join our team as a part-time Supervisor. This role involves working flexible or predetermined schedules throughout the year. The Supervisor will assist the management team, oversee team members in a designated department or store location in the absence of upper management, and ensure exemplary customer service is provided to the academic and co-curricular community.
Responsibilities
As a Supervisor, your primary focus will be on the sales floor, where you will coach and exemplify outstanding customer service. Key responsibilities include:
- Training and supervising team members in one or more departments or operational functions.
- Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of department and store operations to provide excellent customer service.
- Enforcing loss prevention protocols and ensuring your area is well-maintained and merchandised effectively.
- Acting as Manager-on-Duty in the absence of management, assisting with daily store operations.
- Assigning tasks and providing clear direction to team members to manage multiple projects efficiently.
- Processing sales transactions involving cash, credit, or financial aid as necessary.
- Availability to work part-time throughout the year, with schedules that may vary based on store needs.
Physical Demands
Physical requirements for this role include:
- Frequent movement within the store to access various departments and products.
- Ability to remain stationary for extended periods.
- Frequent lifting and occasional reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders.

Our stores adhere to all applicable federal, state, and local guidelines regarding social distancing and sanitization. Depending on campus requirements, positions may necessitate confirmation of vaccination, and the use of face masks may be expected or required.
Qualifications
Ideal candidates will possess:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a retail environment is preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment.
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Exceptional customer service skills to effectively match customers with suitable products.
- Basic reading, writing, and accounting skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with problem-solving abilities.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
