UDC has an immediate opening for a Technical Support Analyst on the IT team. The Technical Support Analyst will provide front-line primary technical support to end users on various technical issues and problems relating to hardware, software, and peripherals.






This will be a hybrid position based out of UDC’s Waukesha, WI office.








What you will do

  • Provide technical support to system users and customer support staff.
  • Research and respond to user queries and requests, through the IT help desk ticket system.
  • Perform account management tasks such as creating users, assigning permissions and assigning licenses.
  • Access users’ computers remotely to examine and troubleshoot system and settings.
  • Evaluate user needs, diagnose and evaluate technical problems, and determine solutions.
  • Maintain detailed records of user issues with software and hardware and utilize notes to diagnose and repair complex problems.
  • Assist customers in implementing solutions.
  • Support multiple platforms including desktops, laptops, servers, mobile devices and videoconferencing equipment.
  • Performs ongoing activities to maintain and enhance overall system performance.
  • Conduct periodic system tests and deploy updates to applications, servers, and hardware.
  • Manage backup software under direct supervision of other IT staff.
  • Ensure desktop systems are mitigated for security common vulnerabilities and exposures by running scans and reviewing reports.
  • Analyze security logs for security breaches on end user systems.







What we look for from you

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience working in an end-user desktop support role or computer operations environment and training
  • Advanced printer / peripheral device troubleshooting
  • Remote support for handheld smartphones and tablets
  • Knowledge of remote desktop support systems including TeamViewer
  • Excellent technical and computer skills
  • Strong interpersonal and written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to manage time, set priorities for tasks and projects, and resolve problems in a timely manner
  • Strong technical and creative analytic and problem-solving skills to develop and deploy solutions to user issues and conduct troubleshooting
  • Exceptional customer service in person, via phone and remote access as appropriate
  • Team oriented

Compensation Range: $23-$25/hr
