Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage bridge engineering projects from concept to completion.
- Perform structural analysis and design using industry-standard software.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and national building codes and standards.
- Oversee construction activities to ensure adherence to design specifications.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, geotechnical engineers, and construction professionals.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers.
- Stay updated on advancements in bridge engineering technology and contribute to the implementation of innovative solutions.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Structural Engineering
- Typically requires 10+ years of structural engineering experience, bridge engineering is must
- Previous supervisory and project management experience required
- Experience with DOT and municipal bridge design
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Microstation and Revit; Microsoft Word and Excel required
- Technical experience with structural analysis and design software such as RAM Structual System, RISA-3D, Visual Analysis and EnerCalc preferred
- Professional Engineering License (P.E.) required; structural licensure is a plus
- Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to present technical content to non-technical audiences
