Job Opportunity

Fuss & O'Neill is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Bridge Engineer to join our team in Hartford, CT. As a Senior Bridge Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, analysis, and management of bridge engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage bridge engineering projects from concept to completion.
  • Perform structural analysis and design using industry-standard software.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and national building codes and standards.
  • Oversee construction activities to ensure adherence to design specifications.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, geotechnical engineers, and construction professionals.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers.
  • Stay updated on advancements in bridge engineering technology and contribute to the implementation of innovative solutions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Structural Engineering.
  • Typically requires 10+ years of structural engineering experience, bridge engineering is a must.
  • Previous supervisory and project management experience required.
  • Experience with DOT and municipal bridge design.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Microstation, and Revit; Microsoft Word and Excel required.
  • Technical experience with structural analysis and design software such as RAM Structural System, RISA-3D, Visual Analysis, and EnerCalc preferred.
  • Professional Engineering License (P.E.) required; structural licensure is a plus.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present technical content to non-technical audiences.
