What the Role Offers - Accountant
The Accountant role is a diverse role which entails responsibilities ranging from billing POs to clearing AP as well as supporting the implementation of the new company wide ERP system. The ideal candidate should have an understanding of basic accounting concepts and needs to display accuracy in transactions as well as agility in learning new systems. The candidate should be comfortable with technology and have good communication skills. Strong Office365 skills preferred.
What You Need to Succeed
- Assist with monthly book closing process.
- Book journal entries as needed.
- Complete G/L account reconciliations as needed.
- Run financial reports in NetSuite and compile or extract data as needed.
- Help implement a fixed asset inventory system.
- Prepare product manufacturing cost production analysis as needed.
- Support A/P team.
- Process invoices on a timely basis according to approved company workflow policies and procedures.
- Review A/P for correct G/L coding and allocation.
- Process A/P check runs, keeping vendor balances in compliance with payment terms.
- Maintain vendor list in NetSuite according to approved company policies.
- Maintain well organized vendor transaction files (currently hardcopy files).
- Research and resolve vendor account issues as needed.
- Maintain good relations with vendors and raise issues to IVT management as needed.
- Support Accounting special projects as needed for document retrieval and scanning, spreadsheet work, or other research such as process improvements.
- Work with purchasing department to track purchase, receipt transactions and resolve open items as necessary.
- Run project tracking hours reports each pay cycle and follow up with users who have not submitted timesheets.
- Prepare inventory valuation as needed.
- Back-up Purchasing function as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred, preferably with an Accounting major.
- Prior accounting/finance-related internships or work experience preferred.
- Basic understanding of accounting concepts.
- Some experience with ERP systems preferred.
- Ability to adapt to new systems and assist with data migration.
- Pays attention to detail and accuracy.
Physical Demands:
- Adequate visual and mental acuity to maintain prolonged use of computer work.
- Multiple hours of standing, sitting, or walking when performing computer work.
Mental Demands:
- Requires operational discipline to consistently focus and execute work-related tasks, with a minimum of human error. This involves self-checking of work immediately upon completion, the ability to find / correct errors (with oversight by the Supervisor).
- Self-directing, once training is successfully completed, but with need to immediately elevate potential concerns/discrepancies to management in a timely fashion.
- Must maintain a professional demeanor in communicating with all Inventprise personnel.
Working Conditions:
- Onsite presence is required, with occasional remote work permitted based on tasks to be completed and supervisor approval.
Estimated Base Salary: $30.00 - $41.00 /hourly DOE

- 401(k) program: Inventprise offers both pre-tax 401(k) and post-tax Roth retirement savings plans, letting you decide how you want to save for the future. We also make an employer contribution of 3% of your total earnings each pay period, regardless of whether you contribute.
